The Bwiti Village Project

Not a retreat center. A way of living.

We are building a living Bwiti village.

A space rooted in ancestral knowledge, community, and connection to the land.

This is not a place people come to consume an experience. It is a place to live, to contribute, and to return to something deeper.

The Vision

The Vision

This village is inspired by the structure of traditional Bwiti communities in Gabon.

It is built on three core foundations:

Spiritual Practice
Community Governance
Traditional Medicine

It is a place where life is lived collectively, in relationship with the land, the ancestors, and each other.

A place where we move away from extraction, and return to contribution.

Beginnings

Where This Begins

The first Bwiti Village Project is currently being developed in Europe.

We are in the process of identifying the right location — a place that allows the village to be established in alignment with the land, the values of the project, and its connection to Gabon.

This is a careful process, as the land itself is a fundamental part of the village.

This is the beginning of a model that is intended to grow over time. In the long term, we aim to see this way of living expressed in different places, always adapted to the land, while remaining faithful to the Bwiti village blueprint.

The location will be chosen not only for practicality, but for its ability to support the life of the village in the long term.

The Temple

The spiritual heart of the village.

A sacred space where Bwiti ceremonies are held, where connection with the spirit world is maintained, and where the deeper work takes place.

The Nzimba

The space of the people.

Where the community gathers to speak, to resolve, and to listen. There is no hierarchy here. Every voice has a place. It is also a space of spiritual communication, where guidance is sought collectively.

The Traditional Medicine Clinic

A place of healing and initiation.

Rooted in ancestral knowledge, this space allows for the transmission and practice of Bwiti medicine in its proper context.

The Way

A Different Way of Living

What do I bring, rather than what do I take?

This village is built on a simple principle. Each person contributes to the life of the community through their skills, presence, and energy.

There is no hierarchy. Only roles. Life is shared, responsibilities are collective, and decisions are made together.

We live in relationship with the land — growing food, respecting natural cycles, and giving back to what sustains us.

The village is designed to be fully self-sufficient and off-grid. This includes autonomy in food, water, and energy, allowing the community to function independently while remaining deeply connected to the land it is built on.

Self-sufficiency is not approached as an ideal, but as a practical foundation for long-term living.

Ancestral

Returning to the Roots

At its core, this project is about returning to a way of living that is ancestral.

Living in community. Living in connection with the land. Living in relationship with the visible and the invisible.

This is not about creating something new. It is about remembering and re-establishing what has always existed.

At the same time, the village will be built with care, beauty, and attention to comfort. The intention is not to recreate hardship, but to create a space where ancestral ways of living can exist in a grounded, sustainable, and supportive environment.

The structures, the land, and the spaces will follow the Bwiti village blueprint, while allowing for a level of comfort that supports long-term living and integration.

Comfort is not used for escape, but to support presence.

Access

Who This Is For

This is not an open-access community.

The village is open by application only, and primarily to those who have already sat in ceremony with us.

This ensures a shared foundation, understanding, and respect for the work.

We are not building a place for consumption. We are building a place for contribution.

Tradition

Rooted in Tradition

This village is not a reinterpretation of Bwiti.

It remains directly connected to its roots in Gabon.

Elders, Nimas, and community members from the village will be involved in the creation and life of this space.

The structures, the temple, and the practices will be established with the same care and integrity as in the village itself.

This is how we ensure that what is built here remains alive, not diluted.

Retreats & Gatherings

The village will also host retreats, ceremonies, and gatherings. These moments allow others to connect with the work, and support the sustainability of the community. However, the village itself is not built around events. It is built around life.
