Healing in the best of hands!

I cannot stress enough the importance of being in the best of hands when embarking on a Iboga journey.

After spending a lot of time combing through providers, I felt called to Bwiti Roots. I knew I was in a vulnerable position and my mind was set at ease after speaking with Audrey. Her and Roger are people who truly want to change people lives for the best. Being cared for by people like this helps ease the unknown and makes all the difference in the world when it comes to this medicine.

My Iboga ceremony with Bwiti Roots has made a tremendous change in my life. It helped me end several years of pain killer usage from a autoimmune disease and several surgeries. Beyond the addiction it opened my eyes spiritually and gave me a direction for my life. You cannot get more than that.

I’m overwhelmed with gratefulness to this life changing medicine and for being led to the right people to help me walk through this.

A million thank you’s to Audrey and Roger!

I often joke with people who ask me about the experience by telling them I wouldn’t wish it on anyone but I’m happy with the results. The initiation is the real deal, and not softened up to make it easier on foreigners. If you want the change you seek, this is how to do it. I needed time to process my experience, but I can say without a doubt that I truly love myself and others in a way I never thought possible because of this medicine. This was such a a beautiful thing to be a part of and I will be forever grateful.

I’ve just returned from Gabon after getting initiated on the Bwiti Tradition. What a journey!!! Having a few options I chose Bwiti Roots and I recommend it to anyone wanting to get initiated on the roots of the Iboga use on the world. As a Non-profit seeker project, the retreat money, it all goes to this amazing village. It is a Gabonese initiation, the same one Gabonese people get, it is the real thing, for spiritual warriors only. I recommend for those that are not seeking comfortable fancy retreats.

I recently went on a ceremony with bwiti roots and it has changed my life in so many ways 🌿🙌🙏

I have had trouble quitting smoking marijuana for many years and after trying the medicine i still can’t believe it is like my brain got reset I didn’t even go through cravings or withdrawal symptoms I just came home a no longer wanted it 🌱😮

It was my first time trying plant medicine so I was very apprehensive but Audrey and roger made me feel very comfortable and looked after me very well during the ceremony I would love to get to another ceremony soon ❤️🌱🌿🙌

Bwiti Roots I cannot thank you enough for introducing me to iboga ❤️🌿

The Iboga ceremony with Audrey and Roger was a continuation of my over three years work with psychoactive plants and mushrooms. I’ve experienced Iboga as a powerful and at the same time grounding plant. It has strong impact on physical body, activates multidimensionality of vision, requires full presence and focus for which grants clear insights and direction to work with in the upcoming.

The guidance of Audrey and Roger was very supportive. They create a good balance of bringing authentic tradition and adapting it to contemporary life. With their caring presence I could fully go into the process and relax in whatever was coming up in the moment. I also loved the friendliness and informal atmosphere they created in between the ceremonies, so we could all spend time together, talk and share.

Firstly Audrey and Roger are spectacular humans , I felt super taken care of throughout and the space held was super tight. They are so talented and special and the medicine is clearly their calling.

I love the family aspect of Bwiti Roots and the fundamentals of the charity. I will always support them from now on.

The ceremony showed my aspects of my life I need to amend so I can be my true self. I feel reset mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. My focus to improve my life is very high and I am clear on what I want to acheive and why. Iboga has cleared the cobwebs and I can see again.

The ceremony wasn’t easy for me but wow it was worth it!! Next stop… Gabon 💫🌱🙏

calling to Iboga with bwiti roots

a very safe and tender way to experience the teacher iboga, in a beautiful rural cottage home location surrounded by fields of green hills and fruit trees.. felt very much at ease both while there and in the whole process of getting there and back, from the group chat in advance to cordinate flights and greetings, to the arrival at the airport and drive into the countryside via a quick supermarket sweep for groceries.. audry and roger are both very gentle and attentive.. even before we prepare for the medicine i’d already felt a level of serentity just from arriving at the cottage and being able to breath and relax.. I’d got a little excited at the supermarket picking up lentils veg and spices so got myself busy making a big pot of dahl to share. We’d picked up plenty of fruit too, mangos, melons and pineapples.. and there was lots of water at the home.. we all had a bed each prepared in a calming space, we all had a space to retreat to, it all had a relaxed pace.. I was very happy to have the oppertunity with the group to have a full circle walk around the surrounding woods along green paths and inspiring views across the hills.. all really helped to centre myself with the surrounding nature..

guided by Audry, as we prepared for the ceremony we followed traditional practices of cleansing ourselves and making our affirmations intentions and wishes be known in private.. we all had the oppertunity to do this alone at a dedicated alter specially set in Bwiti tradition.. gifts we had each brought were offered.. our ceremony was in parallel with a ceremony with Audry and Roger’s family in Gabon, giving us extra protection.. be prepared for the root itself to be extremely bitter, i personally found it hard to swallow, chasing it with water is recommened, try not to eat so much on the day of the ceremony, chances of vomiting is likely and actually a threshold point in my experience of where the feelings of discomfort and nuasea give way to a peaceful platue of serenity with floods of introspection and vision.. so don’t be afraid to vomit, buckets are provided, there’s no judgement, it’s an expected part of the process.. my personal intention with the medicine is to seek wisdom, guidance and strength.. to hold a mirror up to myself and to unpack anything causing me a disservice.. to gain perspective.. in all kindness.. I can say it certainly helped me see a few things clearly that i need to.. it’s essential to be in a safe space with facilitators who practice the true traditions.. Audry and Roger were always present to assist and help us feel supported and safe.. with shakers and chimes alongside music playing from Bwiti musicians throughout our journey with the medicine..

the body goes through a lot, it takes recovery time rest and nurishment to get your strength back after the experience… we had the medicine over 2 nights, the 2nd is gentler than the 1st though still a taxing experience to go through.. be sure to be gentle with yourself after.. after we had slept and rested we were able to have time to break our fast with fruits, nourish ourselves and process our thoughts.. i’m still processing..

I’m grateful of the experience.. and happy to reassure anybody feeling the calling to Iboga that Bwiti Roots are for sure going to give the best possible care of experience you’re likely to find.. thanks again to Audry and Roger for your hospitality and the experience.

My first Iboga Experience

I attended an Bwiti Roots Iboga group retreat in September 2023.

I had felt a combination of apprehension and excitement leading up to the trip, perhaps because it was my first experience with such a powerful plant medicine, or perhaps because I had felt the call to Iboga for very many years and the time was finally upon me!

Audrey did everything in her power to support us in the lead up, during and after the retreat, with access to her via WhatsApp group, private messages and phonecalls so that we could share our thoughts and questions about the Iboga experience and also arrange logistics (travel, accommodation arrangements etc).

We were quickly immersed in an environment which is in harmony with nature, at a peaceful and stunning location in rural France. We cooked and shared delicious fresh, nutritious food with the intention of nourishing our bodies before and after the medicine. It also gave the opportunity to spend quality time together which enriched the feeling of welcomeness and feeling like a part of the family for our time there. We also enjoyed a beautiful sunny long walk in nature, foraging for nuts and berries as it was the perfect time of year.

Throughout our time there we were given fascinating insights into Bwiti culture, through conversation and storytelling and by explaining the processes we were about to undertake and their meanings. We also discussed many other cultures throughout the world and their traditions, rituals and their significance to our work with Bwiti Roots.

Audrey and her father Roger are naturally gifted healers and facilitators and seem to effortlessly and joyfully hold space for this work at every step. They are also authentically expert in enlightening people to Bwiti culture and Iboga with warmth and passion. It is clear that their literal “Bwiti Roots” facilitate this work and enable their participants to experience Iboga as it should be experienced.

After an evening and a full day to settle in, our two ceremonies commenced over two nights whilst Audrey and Roger coordinated with their Bwiti family in Gabon who would be commencing ceremonies at the same time as us. We started the first ceremony just before sundown, individually with a series of beautiful cleansing rituals, to release, set intentions and prepare. One thing that appealed to me the most about these rituals, my Iboga experience and the retreat on the whole was that each person has time and space to tend to theirselves. Under the care and guidance of Audrey and Roger and there is no pressure or need to share anything more than you like with the group at any point, although we chose to on very many occasions!

Traditional dress, rituals, incense, music (performed by their Gabonese Bwiti family), amongst many other things made sure we were able to experience Iboga in the most authentic, comfortable and beneficial of settings.

My experience with the medicine was powerful and profound. Amongst very many other wonderful and mystical things, my visions showed negative behaviour and patterns that no longer served me, which I now feel able to break with a new found ease. Many fears I had or mental blockages related to those things no longer feel all-consuming, and I have a lighter and more positive approach to making positive changes.

I was also visited many times by my deceased Dad, who I miss every day, smiling lovingly in what appeared to be a round orb of light!

I feel that this experience is the beginning of a new chapter in my life and the start of a long, beautiful relationship with this work.

All this isn’t to say the medicine is a gentle or fun experience… It is an incredibly physically, mentally and spiritually taxing process, certainly not for the faint hearted! That is why it is all the more important to be with Iboga under the care of trustworthy and good people who fully understand the medicine and the Bwiti tradition.

Bwiti Roots are certainly those people for me 🙂
